Chisholm Trail Community Chorale

Our Mission...

To be good stewards of quality choral performance by encouraging inclusivity and valuing diversity as each of us come together joyfully and humbly to set aside our differences and become one voice.

About the Chorale

CTCC is open to all community members age 15+, with a basic understanding of singing, rhythm, and ability to match pitch. Each year, we will have a fall season leading up to a Christmas concert at the beginning of December, and a spring concert centered on a theme leading up to a concert the first part of April.

Music selections are generally decided based on approachable, well respected chorale repertoire or quality arrangements of special pieces depending on the theme for that season's program.

The Chorale is an audition group and while the ability to read music is not necessary, demonstrating skills in matching pitch is vital. Member dues are $25 per season which helps offset the costs of any new sheet music we purchase as well as the cost of our rehearsal and performance venues.

About the Director

CTCC Director Garrett Watson brings over a decade of professional experience leading both ensembles and music organizations. Currently the President of CMA, he values the role making music as a community plays in building fine arts cultural equity in communities and inspiring local pride. Garrett attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana for vocal performance where he studied chorale conducting under Dr. Burt Allen, a student of the late, great Robert Shaw. As such, much of Garrett's directing techniques are similar to those of Shaw's, focusing in on rhythmic precision and vocal blending and balance.
