Meet the Board of Directors

Garrett Watson brings over a decade of professional experience leading both ensembles and music organizations, and he values the role making music as a community plays in building fine arts cultural equity in communities and inspiring local pride. Garrett attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana for vocal performance where he studied chorale conducting under Dr. Burt Allen, a student of the late, great Robert Shaw. As such, much of Garrett's directing techniques are similar to those of Shaw's, focusing in on rhythmic precision and vocal blending and balance.
